Imagine learning an exercise that you don't have to go the gym for, you can do ANYWHERE, no special equipment, no expensive diet supplements, no ab rockers, no ab belts. Magic? Not quite but continue reading and I shall explain.
The first of these ab exercises is often overlooked by many people as its seems almost TOO easy. Some people may find themselves working out on the abdominal machines and seeing some results for their efforts, but by doing this simple exercise that can be done anywhere, you are going to really see your abs pulling in. Its called the "Stomach Vacuum" and it will really get a flat stomach much faster then crunches or other ab exercises.
This is how to do it. Just pull in your stomach as hard as you can and hold that position for about 30 seconds or so. Release and relax for 30 seconds and then repeat. When you relax, don't blow out your stomach like a whale. Just relax to a natural posture. Within just less then 2 weeks, you will really begin to notice differences in how flat your abdominals are and really start to get a flat stomach and better posture. Don't forget to breathe! You can even do this exercise lying in bed. I usually do a few before I get up in the mornings.
Another way to help you get a flat stomach is to learn to increase your basal metabolic rate. The faster your metabolic rate, the more efficiently the body burns and uses food correctly. Guess what, actually not eating ENOUGH can put your body into starvation mode and it will begin to store fat. Its possible to eat more and actually weigh less. One simple way to boost your metabolism is to add lean more muscle mass to your body. Muscle tissue needs more calories to function then fat so not only will you look better, and have better posture but you will be able to eat more comfortably. Add lean muscle mass by adding in some resistance and strength training to your regular routine. It might even just be adding some hand or ankle weights to your usual walk around the park or while you do your household chores.
Keep your routine varied, it will stop you getting bored and help you stay motivated. Exercise with a friend, colleague or partner, join a group, even just take the hound for a walk but what ever you do, keep doing it and keep changing it. Learning how to get a flat stomach is literally just a mouse click away. The flatter your stomach, the fitter you will be, the more muscle you will have and the more you will be able to eat. Now that's a WIN WIN.
